After becoming a mother and doing some freelance work, Oxana decided that she wanted to return to the workplace full time. When she applied to EY, the 12 week Reconnect programme offered her the perfect platform to rebuild her confidence and skills and secure a permanent position.
“I enjoyed being part of a group of like-minded individuals, having continuous support as well as coaching sessions throughout the programme. I worked on two extremely interesting projects in my first 2 months, which gave me the confidence that I have the competencies to be successful at EY”
“I also had the chance to work with the Global Talent Lead developing L&D initiatives for People Services practise, globally.”
Oxana said that her best experiences of the programme were not only the projects she was able to work on but also the support she received and the networking opportunities, “I got to network with and meet some interesting people who valued my input and supported me in staying at EY long-term.”
“I was surprised to find out how much EY is investing in people’s wellbeing and offers flexible working. The company also invests a lot in the arts and the charity sectors which was one of the motivators when applying for the EY Reconnect programme, as well as its strong reputation in the market.”
“The firm fosters innovation, creativity and a positive work environment. Programmes like this can be a ‘turning’ point for an individual as well as their families, in terms of; wellbeing, mental health and financial support. It offers people who had a break in their careers the perfect platform, pace and network to be able to re-join the workplace.”
