The UK Talent Shared Service Centre has multiple functions which include:

Employee Services
Employee Services manage all operational HR changes to an employee’s terms and conditions throughout the duration of their employment life cycle with the firm including transfers, promotions, unpaid leave, work pattern changes and the payment of bonuses. The team also support all aspects of the leaver process.

EY Help HR
EY Help HR provide a dedicated telephone and e-mail advisory service for all employees and line managers within the UK firm who require specialist advice on HR policy and process, payroll and benefits, employment law, performance management and capability/disciplinary. A smaller sub team of coordinators manage all maternity, sickness absence and work permission cases.

HR Projects
HR Projects team contribute to a wide portfolio of project activity aligned to HR Services and regional change. The team manage global and local projects that have an interdependency on the UK Talent Shared Service Centre. Some examples of projects include the deployment of People Insights, the firm’s global reporting and analytics tool; the implementation of a new UK and Ireland benefits provider and associated benefits platform and the outsourcing of EY’s pre-employment screening process.

HR Systems
The HR Systems team manage the operational aspects of number of regional and global HR Systems.  This includes the wider data infrastructure that delivers both interfaces and workflows which underpin the services provided by the UK Talent Shared Service Centre to the UK and Ireland region. The team are frequently involved in delivering cyclical processes (such as a salary review) and both regional and global business change (for example the firm’s global people reporting and analytics tool and a new UK and Ireland benefits platform).

Pay & Benefits
The Pay & Benefits team oversee and manage the efficient processing of our outsourced payroll and benefits offering available to our employees and partners across UK and Ireland. The team are frequently involved in project activities driven by cyclical processes and business change. Some example of these projects are salary review, annual flexible benefit enrolment and changes to payroll provisions to ensure EY remains compliant with all HMRC legislation.

Recruitment Services
Recruitment Services are split into two sub-teams for Student Hire and Experienced Hire. Student Hire teams include; Early Careers recruitment, Student Hire recruitment, Student Hire on-boarding and the Student Hire Helpline. Experienced Hire teams include; CV Screening, Scheduling, Experienced Hire International and Local Hire on-boarding, Director and Partner on-boarding and the Experienced Hire Helpline.

Our Culture

The UK Talent Shared Service Centre is based in the Birmingham office located in the heart of the city centre with good transport links nearby.

We promote a variety of team activities, networks and social events to participate in. From the Parents Network, to EY Sports teams, to office wide annual promotion celebrations and team building events.
