I already knew EY’s good reputation as a consulting firm, particularly its finance function. A friend of mine who worked at EY spoke highly of the culture and the people he was working with, so I was motivated to apply for an opportunity. What really made the difference in my decision to join was the excellent recruitment experience I had. I met very interesting people including the person who would become my counsellor and mentor.
I joined EY Frankfurt in December 2012, and moved to the UK in October 2016. Before joining EY I completed my Masters in International Business at Maastricht University with a major in Strategy & Innovation.
I started as a Consultant in Germany supporting my team on a major finance transformation project. My role quickly progressed and I was given more ownership, responsibility and visibility. I worked across Europe, from Switzerland to Romania, and with further project experience I was promoted to Senior Consultant. Subsequently I was part of a secondment programme to New York in summer 2016 before deciding to join our UK practice in October 2016 following great conversations with our Finance Advisory leadership.
