Women in Technology at EY
Our Women in Technology (WiT) network aims to enable women from diverse backgrounds into a technology disruptive path through supporting and connecting them with leaders who are actively influencing the future of our digital world.
The lack of women in technology furthering their careers is more than a pipeline problem. Industry reports that approximately 74% of young girls express interest in STEM fields and computer science. And yet, by the time they reach higher education, only 18% of undergraduate computer science degrees are awarded to women.
A mere 26% of computing jobs are held by females and it gets the further up the career ladder you go — just five percent of leadership positions in the technology industry are held by women.
At EY, we are tackling this problem head on. With a dedicated Women in Technology network of over 1,700 people, we are collectively working together to improve female participation in the tech industry at each step of their careers.
We have a number of initiatives at all levels across our business to support.
