After a rewarding and interesting career to date which includes time in the Armed Forces, Recruitment and Resourcing I wanted to work for a globally-recognised brand that was both dynamic and inspiring and in a role that was people centric, developmental, operationally focused and where I could feel central to it all.
Since joining the EY Resourcing Team in May 2017, it’s been exactly that!
Exciting, fast paced and intellectually challenging, no two days are the same! Our People are the heartbeat of the organisation and Resourcing is fundamental to the service we deliver for our stakeholders. We are seen as trusted advisors to the business and our input truly impacts on business performance, which is hugely rewarding.
Our role works with the leadership and key stakeholders to best utilise our people to service our clients. I really enjoy understanding people’s experiences and career aspirations, working with them to deliver quality commercial outcomes.
Since my arrival I have been fortunate enough to have the support of both my local team and the wider leadership. I’ve been given some exciting Resourcing projects that could revolutionise our offering to the business. I feel that the leadership team really understand where my strengths lie, having helped me to continue to develop and broaden my knowledge and understanding.
Resourcing and EY as a whole is a really supportive, fun and collaborative environment to work in. To be successful here I think you need to be hardworking, enthusiastic and have the ability to build relationships. If you can bring a global mind-set, proactive attitude, calm demeanour and the ability to think outside of the box, then a career in resourcing could be for you, as it has been for me.
