What is the Degree Apprenticeship in Business Leadership and Management Practice?

As part of your Degree Apprenticeship, you will focus on two areas:

  • Study for a degree in Business Leadership and Management Practice at Northumbria University
  • Study towards a professional qualification from the Chartered Management Institute

Apprentices who join will be based in our Advisory Service Delivery (ASD) Centre in Newcastle. In a project-based environment, you will work alongside a range of EY staff members, to assist clients, such as retail banks with their processes.

Applications are open.

What will you be doing?

  • Working on a range of projects for clients, helping them assess, transform and monitor their risks and controls, in relation to solution areas such as Anti-Money Laundering, Suitability of financial advice and Cyber Security
  • Studying one day a week towards your degree
  • Enjoying access to qualifications in areas like anti-money laundering, cyber security or mortgage advice
  • You can find out different solution areas here

Are you eligible to apply?

We operate an open access to all policy and we don’t screen out any applications only on your academic performance at GCSE or A-Level. However, you’ll need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & Maths and to have completed three A-levels, five Scottish Highers or equivalent by the time the programme starts. It is therefore important that you provide us with your top three obtained or accurately predicted A-Levels (or equivalent) as these will be verified and considered as part of the offer process should you be successful. Any drop in grades could jeopardise your offer of employment.
