What’s it like?

Learn how Ushana worked with some of the world’s largest financial institutions in his first year of the Tax Financial Services graduate programme.

How’s it structured?

Developing your understanding of local and international tax laws is at the heart of this programme. After an EY induction you’ll join your team in UK & Ireland International Corporate Tax Advisory where you'll specialise in Direct Tax. You’ll have coaching and training opportunities and lots of support from your team.

In your first year you’ll start studying for a professional qualification and government accredited, Level 7 Apprenticeship in accountancy and taxation if you meet the eligibility requirements. The qualifications you study towards will depend on the sub service line you join.

Throughout your second and third years, you may get opportunities to work on secondments abroad, directly with clients on site, and to continue gathering the knowledge and skills you need to reach your career goals. If you do a great job and achieve your qualifications, you’re likely to be promoted to Tax Advisor by the end of year three.

At every stage of the three year programme we'll give you opportunities to work with major Japanese multinational clients. So that you can develop your wider knowledge and practical experience, as well as ensuring that you get a diverse and varied perspective across our client base, you'll also be given plenty of chances to work on non-Japanese clients too.

Where could a tax career take you?

Working in an environment that values and stretches you can positively impact your career progression. Just ask Stephanie, she feels like the world is her oyster.
