What is Valuation at EY?

Arriving at a robust view on the value on private businesses and illiquid assets is critical in supporting transactions, as well as enabling our clients meet their regulatory, tax, and financial reporting requirements.

What will you be doing?

  • Performing research and analysis on businesses and sectors
  • Understanding and applying specialist valuation techniques to value private businesses and illiquid assets
  • Taking ownership as a client serving team member at complex, high-profile projects
  • Teaming with colleagues from diverse backgrounds with a range of specialist skills

Are you eligible to apply?

You’ll need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & Maths, three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent, and a numerate honours degree (in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis, or similar, as well as Law, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Property Management / Real Estate) by the time the programme starts.

in Accountancy and Taxation (equivalent to a master’s degree) *Please note this applies to English office locations only.

How’s it structured?

After an EY induction, you’ll join your Valuation team. Working with senior colleagues means you’re given responsibility and learning opportunities quickly, and you will soon be working with major EY clients. You will also build an understanding of key tax, litigation, commercial, and regulatory issues that impact valuation, and successfully advise clients on valuation matters.

There will be formal and informal training and development opportunities through the programme. On completion of the programme, you could be promoted to an Executive and will be a part of a global network of EY professionals, with a broad range of career opportunities including overseas secondments.
